I am formally and extensively trained in the spiritual and physical practice of yoga. I am currently focused on 2 elements of a complicated and nuanced practice. These are movement and self acceptance. I am aware of these elements having a great effect on my well being. I aim to share that.
I am certified in other movement practices including NASM Personal Trainer and a FRC Movement Specialist.
An individual session is a great place to start, restart or enhance a yoga or movement practice. Learning with an observing can be very helpful and empowering. Especially if you are new to the practice, have trouble knowing or remembering what to do, are working with injuries or have a unique situation. We will work to gain deeper knowledge of your body as well as a deeper understanding of how the tradition and practice of yoga and movement can work for you.
I am trained as a Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialist (FRCms ). This is a kind of training that is especially beneficial for individuals who want to increase their flexibility or who are hyper-mobile and want to develop greater control, but really anyone who loves their joints and wants them to last a long time will benefit. Functional Range conditioning is a system that applies scientific methods to the acquisition and maintenance of Functional Mobility (joint strength and neurological control), Joint Resilience (increase joint capacity and injury mitigation) and Joint Health and Longevity.
